Hello, friends! I have missed writing to you in this format as it lends itself to a certain intimacy and friendship that isn't found on social media. When I decided to take a break in November, I wasn't sure what the next steps would be.

It's now been 3 months, and I don't regret the decision to step back and assess my path forward as a writer. My heart and mind needed a reprieve from creating so much content after completing my newest book.

As a Christian writer, I never want to force content that isn't gleaned from time in God's Word, sound biblical teaching, or from the Spirit's prompting in my life. I felt I had reached a point where I was committed to so many writing deadlines that I couldn't find time to grow myself through the study of Scripture. The problem is also that when I don't study and read with the right spirit (to know God and not just find content), my writing well dries up. And I never want to conjure up lessons that aren't being authentically lived out in my own life.

I hope that makes sense to you all on a personal level.

Over the past week, however, I have felt compelled to write to whomever is still subscribed here. On December 1st, I began reading Mary DeMuth's, 90-Day Bible Reading Challenge book, which requires you to read the Bible for about an hour a day. I just wanted to read, soaking up any wisdom the Spirit would give me. I needed to go back to not worrying about content and just abiding with Christ. And now? I have found so many new things that I would love to be able to share with others in this space.

I'm going to begin again with a monthly format, so if you would like an occasional email from me on a Wednesday morning -- for the purpose of encouraging you in your faith -- I'd love for you to stick around.

Before I go, I would like to share the first book I finished in 2024 from an author friend who has a beautiful testimony of God's grace in her life. I will include the link to Winds of Grace by Cheryl Balcom below.

What are you needing grace for today? How are you intentionally abiding with Christ in your daily life? Hit reply and let me know. :)

Here is a free resource that compliments the contents of my newest book, Grace: Reflections of a Heart Set on God!

I hope this little study of the doctrine of grace is an encouragement to you as you spend time thinking more deeply on the infinite kindness of God toward us. I pray that it prompts you to dive even deeper on your own into the hundreds of other Scripture passages about the grace that Christ brings to us as new creations.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, cheered for, and purchased a copy thus far. It means so much! If you purchase a copy and read it, could you please leave a sentence or two in the Amazon review section to help my book be seen by others who might be encouraged by it? Any shares on social media really help widen my audience as well.

I am humbled with every share, purchase, and "atta-girl" given! Thank you for supporting this writing ministry. I pray it's a blessing always.
Thanks for reading. See you soon!
