I successfully memorized 1 John 3:18 and was intentional to practice putting my words and intents of love into action. I hope some of you were encouraged to join me. It's never too late to make a small step in the direction of growth, so start where you can. God honors our efforts no matter how inconsequential they seem. Little steps move us closer to where we want to be, which for me, is at the feet of Jesus.

As I was thinking about what character quality to focus on for July, I kept dwelling on the verse about Jesus humbling Himself to the point of the cross. And He humbled Himself "for the joy that was set before Him". That joy involved pleasing the Father and rescuing the ones He loves. Who wouldn't want to emulate that quality in their lives? So, this month's verse and practical living suggestions are attached below if you want to join me as we seek to make every effort to grow in the likeness of Christ. Summer gets so busy, but let's never be too busy to take the smallest of steps toward seeking truth. Let me know if you are going to join me, and I will enter your name into a drawing for a surprise!
