Aprilnewsletter

Hello, Friends! Happy Spring!

I pray that you all are well and enjoying the longer days and warmer temps. I know you are all busy, so I appreciate you taking the time to open and browse this content. I pack a lot into an issue, but since it is sent out monthly, you don't have to view it all at one time. It is a gathering of all the content I write and share in a month, so peruse, linger, and revisit as you have time!

My biggest news this month is the book launch for Life, Repurposed; Stories of Grace, Hope, and Restored Faith on April 12th. I am one of 34 authors who contributed to this new book! I invite you to join the Facebook launch party on April 12 to learn more and celebrate with me. I will be giving away a few copies this month, so be watching on social media.

Learning to imitate Christ and putting truths into practice is the purpose of this space. Hopefully, together we can encourage one another to good works through the things shared here; not through burdensome rituals or guilt-inducing words, but through growing to love, desire, and understand truth. For it is in recognizing the beauty of grace and truth that we are compelled to serve in greater ways.

As we learn to grow in grace and flourish in our relationship with God and others, we find joy. Joy in living. Joy in giving. And joy in filling our role in the body of Christ. As always, I pray that you will find something in this issue that increases your joy and grows your faith.

Your friend,

Terri Prahl

Encouraging Read:

NeverAlone
Written during the pandemic, Lucado speaks to what most of us have felt in the midst of isolation, uncertainty, and loneliness. In his story-based, casual style, he leads us to remember the miraculous power and presence of God. As believers, we are never alone, and we can rest in that. There is also a discussion guide for each chapter in the back!

What is a breath prayer?

Just as we take a deep breath to work through a moment of frustration and practice self-control before reacting, so can we capture sinful thoughts and realign them with truth. In these moments of pause, we can stop to consider truth and realign our heart with God's. These quick prayers take seconds but remind us to choose to apply the fruits of the Spirit in our parenting. Take a deep breath and fill your mind with truth!

A final note of encouragement:

"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31

2021 may have many unknowns, but knowing God is with us gives us the strength to have hope for the future. His plans are good, and we can trust Him with our future.

If you need prayer, please send me a message, and I will be more than happy to intercede on your behalf.
